Our inspection process gives you the peace of mind that every measurement is accurate, any flaws well documented, and every dress is authentic.


How to Sell Your Dress

We make selling your dress easy by taking care of all the details so you don't have to.

1. Fill out our request card and we will send you a prepaid label to send us your dress.
2. We put every dress through our 5-point inspection process.
3. We spot clean your dress, measure it and professionally photograph every item to help the dress sell quickly.
4. Our design team puts together a detailed product description to ensure accuracy and the information that is most important to brides.
5. We carefully package and ship your items out to buyers.
6. We send you a check once the item sells. 

About our Gowns

What is Lace & Cloth? 

Lace & Cloth is an authenticated wedding dress consignment boutique. Every wedding dress is shipped to our boutique, inspected, measured, and verified by our bridal experts. Our inspection process gives you the peace of mind that every measurement is accurate, any flaws well documented, and every dress is authentic.


How does it work?

1. Brides and Wedding Boutiques send new, sample, and gently used gowns to us.

2. We carefully inspect each gown to triple check the measurements, document flaws if any, and authenticate that it is a true designer gown. We create a carefully curated collection of designer wedding dresses. Every dress lists the condition of the gown, if any alterations have been made and the gown's exact measurements to help you find your size.

3. Find the dress(es) you love and order them to try on at home before making your final decision. Each dress ships for only $50, which covers shipping both ways.

4. Keep the dress(es) for 3 days to try on. 

5. Decide if it is the one, then keep the dress and we will charge your card card. Or if you want to see a few more, return the dress(es) with your pre-paid envelope and start your next order. 

6. After saying your I Do's head back over to consign your dress and put some money back in your pockets.


How is Lace & Cloth different from other consignment stores?

Most consignment stores are marketplaces matching sellers and buyers. The seller is responsible for describing the dress and documenting any flaws. With Lace & Cloth every dress is inspected by us, which means you get a consistent description and know it is an authentic dress by the designer. Lace & Cloth makes sure there are no surprises during this very important purchase. 

Additionally, unlike other online consignment stores, you can try any of our dresses on before you decide to make your final purchase.


How many Sample Gowns can I order?

Each client can order a maximum of 3 dresses at any one time. Our gowns are in high-demand and as we typically have only 1 size of each style we have to limit the number of dresses that we can allow customers to reserve. However, if you don't find the gown you love during your first order, you can order an unlimited amount of times. 

What sizes do you carry?

We carry sizes 14 - 28. We know bridal sizing can be confusing so we have included each gowns street size (the size you wear in everyday dresses) as well as the label size. Each gown also has the bust, waist and hip measurement which is the most accurate way to determine your size. We encourage you to take your own measurements so you can ensure you are shopping your correct size. 

Do you have a store I can visit instead of ordering Gowns to try on at home?

Our LA flagship store is opening January 2021. But don't worry we serve customers all over the US. We're just a "click" away. Email us, call us, chat with us on our site. Who are we kidding? We could talk about wedding dresses all day.

What size should I order?

We use the same sizes that you find in everyday dresses. Sizing varies by designer but we have converted the sizing to a standard sizing in our size chart. If you are in between sizes, order the next size up.

What is the Style Quiz?

Completing our style quiz only benefits you! When you complete it, you'll get access to special promotions. And if we get in something new we like, we will send you an email to give you chance to order it first. 

How long will it take for my Gown to get to me?

Gowns usually ship 3 - 4 business days after receiving your order. 

Shipping and Return Policy

Where do you ship?

We currently ship to all 48 contiguous US states.

How do I return my Gown if I choose not to purchase?

After you're done trying on your gowns, just pack the dresses back into the original box and attach the return label that is included in your shipment. Then just drop it off at an authorized shipping location.

How much does shipping cost?

Zero, zilch, nada. The cost of shipping is included in the price of your gown and in your Home Try-on fee. 

What is your return policy?

We offer the Home Try-on program so that you can see your dress in person before you decide to buy. If you choose to purchase the gown without the Home Try-on, we unfortunately are not able to offer any returns. We pay our sellers as soon as the gown sells. But don't worry if you change your mind you can always re-sell the dress on Lace & Cloth. 

Do you offer alterations?

We do not offer alterations, but we would be happy to refer you to a local tailor.

Our Promise

In response to COVID-19

During these unprecedented times, shopping in person and trying on dresses in stores is becoming more and more complicated. At Lace & Cloth, we allow you to try on your dream dress in the comfort and safety of your own home. Every dress is cleaned and ready to wear when it arrives at your door!

All our garments and accessories are meticulously cleaned each time they are returned to us. All garments go through a steaming process which heats items to between 248°F and 302°F. According to the CDC, flu viruses are killed by heat above 167°F.

Our cleaning agents and practices are designed to kill viruses such as the common cold and flu. Based on current guidance, we have no reason to believe that our processes are ineffective against COVID-19.

In the office and warehouse, all of our team members are complying with social distancing guidelines and mask regulations.

We use UPS for all of our shipping needs. While there may be delays beyond our control, we’ll never hold that against you! We can send you a prepaid shipping label, a box, or schedule a UPS pick up. You can choose whichever option is easiest and safest for you!

The CDC has said that COVID-19 is unlikely to be spread from domestic or international mail, products or packaging.
